Every Kinsta WordPress plan
Each standard plan on Kinsta’s pricing page comes in two versions: a visits plan caps monthly visits, and a bandwidth plan caps the data your origin server sends. Price, storage and CDN allowance are the same either way. Annual prices are paid up front for 12 months.
Single-site plans
| Plan (visits / bandwidth) | Monthly | Annual | Visits or bandwidth | Storage | CDN | PHP threads |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Single 35k / 20GB | $35 | $350 | 35,000 or 20GB | 10GB | 125GB | 2 |
| Single 65k / 40GB | $50 | $500 | 65,000 or 40GB | 10GB | 250GB | 4 |

| Single 500k / 250GB | $290 | $2,900 | 500,000 or 250GB | 15GB | 1,000GB | 8 |
| Single 750k / 500GB | $375 | $3,750 | 750,000 or 500GB | 15GB | 1,500GB | 8 |
The two entry plans don’t support WordPress multisite, and Kinsta marks them as not recommended for ecommerce or membership sites.

Agency plans match the WP plan price at 20 and 40 sites but are sold through Kinsta’s sales team. They add up to $10,000 in hosting credits for eligible agencies, an Agency Directory listing, an unbranded WordPress admin and account management. Enterprise starts at $500 a month ($5,000 a year) with custom resources and dedicated virtual machines.
What every plan includes
- A free standard staging environment for every install.
- Daily automatic backups, kept 14 to 30 days depending on the plan.
- Kinsta’s CDN, powered by Cloudflare, plus free edge caching.
- Unlimited free migrations by Kinsta’s team, plus free malware removal.
- Free SSL, a managed firewall with DDoS protection, an APM tool, the Kinsta API and 24/7 support in 8 languages.
PHP threads (formerly PHP workers) are the limit to watch. Each handles one uncached request at a time, and the count applies per site. Kinsta recommends 4 or more for ecommerce, membership and LMS sites. Our PHP workers guide explains how many you need.
Kinsta counts a visit as one unique IP address in a 24-hour period, excluding most known bots and staging traffic. Bandwidth plans count only data sent from the origin server, not from the CDN or edge cache.
Overage charges
Going over a limit doesn’t take your site offline. Kinsta’s overages page lists $0.50 per 1,000 extra visits, $0.50 per GB of server bandwidth, $0.05 per GB of CDN bandwidth, and $2 per GB of disk per month, calculated daily.
Alerts go out at 80% and 100% of usage. Upgrading mid-month doesn’t erase overages already incurred. If an overage reaches your plan’s price or $500, whichever is less, Kinsta may require immediate payment or an upgrade.
Add-ons and their prices
| Add-on | Price |
|---|---|
| Extra WordPress site | $30 per site per month |
| Disk space | $20 per 20GB per month |
| PHP performance | $10 per 500MB per site per month |
| Premium staging | $20 per environment per month |
| 6-hourly backups | $20 per site per month |
| Hourly backups | $100 per site per month |
| External backups | $2 per site per month plus $1 per GB |
| Redis caching | $100 per site per month |
| Reverse proxy | $50 per site per month |
| Automatic Updates | $3 per environment per month |
| Dedicated server | From $300 per month |
| Expedited migration | $49 per site |
Kinsta’s add-ons page says add-ons are billed monthly even on annual plans unless you ask otherwise. They’re prorated, so you can raise PHP memory for a sale weekend and pay only for those days. An extra site adds no disk space; it shares the plan’s allowances.
Why you might see other plan names
Kinsta’s pricing page is testing a second lineup, so some visitors see different plans. Each has a bandwidth limit, and Kinsta says its visit estimates aren’t metered: Launch, $35 a month or $350 a year (1 site); Launch Plus, $59 (1 site); Build, $69 (2 sites); Expand, $99 (5 sites); Scale, $169 (10 sites); and Lead, $299 (20 sites). Kinsta’s PHP documentation gives all six 4 PHP threads. From 2 sites up, they list lower prices and more storage than the WP plans with the same site counts, so price whichever lineup you’re shown.
Kinsta’s other products
Kinsta’s menus send application, database and static site hosting to Sevalla, a Kinsta trademark priced separately. Sevalla’s pricing page lists application hosting and database hosting from $5 a month and free static site hosting.
How billing works
- Prepaid, monthly or annual. Single 35k costs $420 over 12 monthly payments, or $350 paid yearly.
- Free first month on the entry plans and WP 2, monthly or annual. Overages still apply, and only your first WordPress plan qualifies.
- Plan changes are prorated to the second; downgrades leave a non-cash account credit.
- Payment: major cards, per Kinsta’s payment methods page, or wire and ACH on annual plans. Kinsta’s UK branch processes card payments, so allow international transactions.
- Tax: Kinsta adds US sales tax in Connecticut, DC, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas and Washington, and VAT for EU and UK customers, per its tax page.
- Discounts: 15% off the hosting plan for nonprofits and open-source projects, per Kinsta’s discounts page.
Money-back guarantee
Cancel within 30 days of activating a plan and Kinsta’s money-back guarantee refunds the plan fees. It covers first-time customers only and excludes dedicated servers, one-time fees and overages. On free-first-month plans, the 30 days start when billing does. After that, cancellation takes effect at the end of your billing period.
What you’d actually pay
A small business with one site
A brochure site with about 30,000 monthly visits fits Single 35k at $350 a year. A 45,000-visit month adds $5 in overage. If the site takes bookings or payments, Single 65k ($500 a year) is the cheapest standard single-site plan with 4 PHP threads.
An agency with 8 client sites
WP 10 costs $2,250 a year. WP 5 plus three site add-ons comes to $2,230 ($1,150 plus $1,080 in monthly add-ons). For $20 more, WP 10 adds 190,000 visits (on the visits version), 10GB of storage and two spare installs. At 20 or 40 sites, ask sales about Agency plans. Our agency hosting guide covers alternatives.
A WooCommerce store
Kinsta’s thread guidance says support will only help debug 502 errors or slowness on dynamic sites with more than 2 PHP threads, which is why Kinsta advises against Single 35k and WP 2 for stores. Single 65k is $500 a year; add 6-hourly backups and it’s $740; add Redis too and it’s $1,940. See our small-store WooCommerce hosting guide.
Kinsta vs Cloudways and WP Engine
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | Sites | Traffic | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kinsta Single 35k | $35 | $350 | 1 | 35,000 visits | 10GB |
| Kinsta WP 10 | $225 | $2,250 | 10 | 315,000 visits | 40GB |
| WP Engine Essential, 1 site | $35 | $336 first year | 1 | 25,000 visits | 10GB |
| WP Engine Essential, 10 sites | $130 | $1,248 first year | 10 | 100,000 visits | 20GB |
| Cloudways Flexible, DigitalOcean Premium Micro | $14 | Hourly billing | Unlimited | Unlimited visits, 1TB transfer | 25GB |
At one site, Kinsta and WP Engine charge the same $35 a month. On annual billing, WP Engine’s plans page shows $336 against Kinsta’s $350, but that is a first-year price for new customers, and its terms say renewal pricing is “subject to change.” At 10 sites, WP Engine’s $130 a month undercuts Kinsta’s $225, with fewer visits and half the storage. See our Kinsta vs WP Engine comparison.
Cloudways Flexible charges for the server and, per its pricing page, allows unlimited sites and visits; a 1GB DigitalOcean Premium server is $14 a month. If several small sites fit on one server, that can cost far less than Kinsta’s per-site plans. Who Kinsta fits
Kinsta suits a business whose one or two sites justify a managed service: free migrations and malware removal, staging and daily backups, and per-site PHP controls. It suits agencies that want site cloning and easy site transfer, which Kinsta’s comparison table lists on agency plans.
It suits you less if you run many small sites, where one Cloudways server spreads the cost, or a media-heavy site, since single-site plans include 10GB to 15GB of storage. Our best managed WordPress hosting roundup and is managed WordPress hosting worth it guide cover the wider choice.
Bottom line
Kinsta costs $35 a month or $350 a year to start, with no intro rate to expire. Size your plan on PHP threads as well as traffic: anything dynamic belongs on a 4-thread plan, from $50 a month in the standard lineup. Pay annually if you’re staying a year. If cost across many sites decides it, price a Cloudways server first. Otherwise, see Kinsta’s current plans.
